Potsdam city of palaces



Old Prussian residential city, countless lakes, monumental castles, beautiful parks, cradle of the film industry in Germany, hunting lodge of Federico Guillermo I, capital of the region of Brandenburg and heritage since 1990 that includes over 2000 hectares of wonderful Palacios, parks and gardens, so is Potsdam.

Needless to say that this city falls in love with anyone who visits it, nobody stays indifferent to such beauty, that and its proximity to Berlin, which lies just 24Kms, make it a very lively city from early in the morning until sunset.

We could not escape the opportunity to visit her and after enjoying a few days in Berlin we headed to Potsdam to first hour. The morning once more dawned warm, with pristine blue sky, so received us this impressive city.
We leave the Cali, parked on the outskirts of the historic and Backpack on the back we decided to take it in stride, there was no hurry and had to enjoy it with peace of mind to not miss detail of its majestic beauty. Through its cobbled streets, its wide avenues and pedestrian streets were wandering until well into the afternoon. Even had time to share the happy moments of a couple who chose that warm summer morning and that incomparable to give if I want to, quite an event!.

Among the things that there are to visit if you come to Potsdam, is without a doubt, the Palacio of Sanssouci, instructed to build as a summer by King Federico II the Grande residence, dating back to 1745 and that makes it the oldest in Potsdam and Berlin.
In addition, Park and Palacio Babelsberg, the Palacio of hunt called Glienicke, Park and Palacio Sacrow and Palacio Cecilienhof.

The city of Potsdam also boasts several churches of great beauty, which you will find as you go exploring through its streets and neighborhoods. By the way, it is advisable that give you a turn through the Dutch quarter so you deleitéis you with its beautiful and ancient red-brick houses, surely you love because it is really nice.

As you can see in this city is impossible to be bored, has dozens of things to do and more spectacular. Like almost all the cities of Germany, you can go quietly bicycling or walking, as the Center is mostly pedestrian, ideal for walks and enjoy some typical dish in one of the innumerable terraces that are located throughout the city.
