Bangkok, a city of contrasts

Quite chaotic, traditional, futuristic, enigmatic, challenging, friendly, unbridled, gentle,... These and many more adjectives could put you the city of Bangkok. This city or he loves her or he hates it, it is the comment of a friend of ours, but we are of the opinion that it loves you, do not know anyone who hallucinated has not returned it. Knowing, almost by chance, mixing traditions ancient with the modern, make it special.

We are in love with the city, between comings and goings by Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia have been about four times, with three nights each time average and always keep it in mind, would always be ready to return. Alvaro who visited her for the first time with six-years-old and middle, still keeps warm memories of it, signal that filled him, did not pass unnoticed, marked him.

All the times that we have been in Bangkok we have hosted us in the area of Khao San Road, known as the backpacker district. This street and its surrounding exude travel and party, it is the point of departure and return of thousands of travelers who decide to venture into Southeast Asia, is full of budget hotels or sooo cheap, it is close to the points of interest of the city and evening night turns into a great diverse market where everything. Street food stalls are filled with hungry travellers, where the pleasure to eat a delicious Pad Thai is assured. In bars and pubs, the music rumbles into the wee hours of the morning. The melting pot of cultures intermingle giving us with all kinds of interesting specimens, but yes, every one to his roll.

One of the things that has always called us the attention of this city are shopping centers, there are all kinds, for wholesalers, retailers, only technology, pirate, accessories, clothing, luxury, etc., you can find Lamborghini shop or Porsches on the 5th floor of any of them. But if you have a plant that is filled with food stalls in almost all the regions of the country and neighboring countries, where to stop and fill your stomach at all. It is one thing that has the country and this city in particular, which you can eat at any time.

The street markets are a real last in this city, and as in across the country, due to the high daytime temperatures, these assemble them in the afternoon night, so that the Sun does not punish its visitors. Well there is one that day, is the famous Chatuchack weekend market, but this is another singing, is immense and here if that you can find everything, and you know must go with desire to race and patience, as it is filled with people. One that is quite well is that mounted on Khao San Road, if you don't have clothes backpacking there dress sales as a true backpacker, lol.
