Barceloneta: Originally a barrio of fishermen, of small streets that lead to the Mediterranean and a host of characters who take life in the neighborhood. The memories of the childhood lead me to the bars of la Barceloneta where we ate some delicious prawns from Huelva mounted on top of a thick carpet of sawdust, sadly missing in the 1990s.

Today it is a district with an intense social activity, where there are a large number of bars and cafes. There are also many restaurants, serving the best seafood dishes. The grid layout is due to a concept of egalitarian city. The streets are wide, with tree-lined sidewalks and patios of Apple. Although the original idea of Cerda in terms of occupancy was not respected, he retained the essential features of its design. Here are La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, two buildings of Gaudí, and the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. In this district you will find the best shops, art galleries, cafes with pleasant terraces, restaurants, and a vibrant nightlife.
